Dallas/ Fort Worth

So I am sitting in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport after my first of two flights back to Naples, Florida. I am feeling pretty down and out having to leave Myia, but we both knew it would come and we'll get through it. There is a family of 9 sitting in front of me with 6 girls from 1 to 9 years old, I would guess, and a boy like 16/17 - I have no idea how you have that many kids from so many perspectives. Other then that traveling is pretty boring as usual, especially with 3 hour layovers but such is life and I will be back in Florida soon enough.

I really decided to write this quick update because of a hilarious card player update I just read. A lot of people have been bashing Cardplayer for the quality of updates they have done from this year's WSOP, and I think that is stupid as you have to realize they are running through hundreds of tables trying to catch interesting hands and keep us updated on hundreds of chip counts. Mistakes are bound to happen and I hate it when people say their updates suck. The chip counts are updated every 15 minutes or so and they do the best they can with the hands as I am sure they get most of them retold by someone at the table who may not remember all the correct actions. As the players continue to thin in the main event the updates are getting better and more detailed. I enjoy the Cardplayer updates and think the do a great job. Check them out at http://www.cardplayer.com .

While their updates may be getting better, mistakes with spelling/grammar/randomly using words sometimes gets through. See if you can spot the mistake here:

Eric "Rizen" Lynch Drags a Pot
A player in early position limps pre-flop, Daniel Negreanu limps from the cutoff, and the button limps as well. Both blimps also limp, including Eric Lynch in the big blind. The flop comes Aclub8heart7heart. Both blinds check and the player in early position bets $15,000. Lynch is his only caller. The turn is the Qheart. Lynch checks, then min-raises when his opponent bets $25,000 (Lynch raises to $50,000). His opponent folds and Negreanu says that Rizen has a flush. After the hand, Eric "Rizen" Lynch is up to $515,000.

The writer got so caught up with everyone limping he turned "blinds" into "blimps" - priceless. Maybe it's the next hot poker phrase. I was getting tired of donkey anyways. I can see it now - If you raise my blimps one more time I am pushing any two.

On a side note, I will be trying to qualify for the stars Sunday tourney tomorrow and will be playing a bunch of tournaments until I head back to Vanderbilt on August 18th. I will keep you updated on my progress and maybe think of some goal to shoot for during the next two weeks.
